The European Union has specific legislation for equipment and products that come into contact with food and it has its own mark, as shown below. This legislation is separate from the CE Mark requirements.
The European Union’s Food Contact Materials Regulation (EC) 1935/2004 requires compliance for all equipment that comes into contact with food. This includes food processing machinery, baking equipment, cooking machines, and more.
